《我要飞翔》讲述了发生在航空学校里飞行学员和飞行教官之间幽默、感人的故事，表现我空军飞行员勤劳、刻苦、不畏艰险的敬业精神。是一部反映飞行学员成长过程的青春励志片。
影片属于建国60周年和空军建军60周年献礼影片，计划在国庆节期间播出。
